{"id":2365,"date":"2025-04-15T09:37:52","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T13:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/miwf.org\/?post_type=career&#038;p=2365"},"modified":"2025-04-16T15:40:20","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T19:40:20","slug":"test-loan-officer","status":"publish","type":"career","link":"https:\/\/miwf.org\/about-us\/careers\/test-loan-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Loan Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DUTIES\/RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>Responsibilities include source loan applicants in Southeast Michigan and communities north of<br>metro Detroit including Flint, work with loan applicants so they are loan ready, review and analyze<br>financial information as part of underwriting, loan committee presentations, and prepare loan<br>documents related to microloan funding to Michigan Women Forward (MWF) entrepreneurs (existing or<br>new). This position requires sound business acumen, high-level collaboration and influencing skills<br>to achieve high performance. Ability to evaluate financial projections in the context of<br>reasonableness and assess the applicant\u2019s ability and willingness to repay the loan. This position<br>also requires skills that balance internal process management responsibility with external<br>visibility that is vital to achieve the business goals of MWF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Builds trust with and delivers outstanding customer experience with potential loan clients<br>throughout the lending process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engages in the community with entrepreneurs, banks, and local organizations to source loan<br>applications from entrepreneurs whose businesses are able to submit loan ready applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepares a set number of loans to present for loan committee meetings that occur bi-weekly,<br>including accurate underwriting spreadsheets and business operations analysis, as well as<br>projections consistent with credit policy and written narrative:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluates new business plans and loan applications to ensure proper completion and submission of<br>required financial information to facilitate financial credit analysis and loan readiness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews and analyzes financial\/accounting data, audits, legal documents, contracts, and other<br>records and documents to complete an accurate financial analysis for each loan client.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reviews business projections and assumptions for reasonableness to complete the financial<br>analysis and underwriting process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides technical assistance (as needed) with financial schedules including cash flow<br>forecasts, financial statements, and related processes for smooth business operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyzes revenues, expenditures, and current and future debt obligations; completes debt<br>coverage calculations and future revenue and expenditure and ratio tests and justifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifies the risks of an approved loan and discusses these risks with the client. Collaborates<br>to create a plan for post loan technical assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs client site visits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitates loan closing meetings with clients in person or virtually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepares check requests for loan disbursements and submits for approval.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represents MWF by attending funder &amp; engagement sessions (i.e., collaborative meetings, funder<br>panels, and partner organization events) as requested.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>EDUCATION AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum of three years of experience in the areas of lending, banking, and finance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience and solid knowledge of <strong>small business or commercial<\/strong> loan processing and loan acquisition practices and processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience in meeting quantifiable lending goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong attention to detail, results-oriented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to excellent customer service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven accomplishment in expanding business and relationship development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or other suitable degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>COMPENSATION:<br>Salary will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the selected candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Work Environment\/Conditions:<br>The position may require some irregular hours, such as overnight, weekends, overtime, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michigan Women Forward does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis<br>of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or any other<br>characteristic protected by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"ghostkit_customizer_options":"","ghostkit_custom_css":"","ghostkit_custom_js_head":"","ghostkit_custom_js_foot":"","ghostkit_typography":"","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-2365","career","type-career","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.2 (Yoast SEO v26.2) -
